WEDDING CEREMONY
Tuscany is one of the few regions in the world where people and nature live together in harmony. From the Castle of Montegufoni you can see the beautiful Tuscan landscape with panoramic views and beautiful scenes on the horizon: characteristic farms, castles and a Tuscan cypress on the beautiful gently rolling hills. Not surprising that many Renaissance painters found their inspiration here. Discover the cheerful, sensitive and sentimental atmosphere of Tuscany.
Civil wedding
For an incredibly romantic civil ceremony, you can get married in Florence in one of the oldest Palazzo in Italy, the Palazzo Vecchio. This beautiful medieval building is located in the famous Piazza della Signoria.
Symbolic ceremony
For those who want to seal their eternal love without a civil ceremony, a symbolic wedding ceremony can take place at Castello di Montegufoni. We recommend to hold the ceremony in the majestic and elegant Corte dei Duchi or in our beautiful garden with a view over the lush Tuscan landscape.
Catholic ceremony
A Catholic ceremony can be held in the Catholic church of San Lorenzo. This used to be part of the castle domain and is easily accessible via the garden. The church can host a maximum of 100 guests. In case you decide to have your wedding there, we’ll be glad to get you in touch with the priest.
RECEPTION
Up to 140 wedding guests can be received in the magnificent Castello di Montegufoni. The reception can take place in the courtyard, in the restaurant, in the garden, on the terrace … The possibilities are unlimited.
The Corte dei Duchi also lends itself perfectly as a reception area.
DINNER
At Castello di Montegufoni we understand the importance of delicious, elegant cuisine, served with quality and care. Together with you, we work out the perfect Tuscan menu that matches your wedding theme, style and budget, to delight all your guests.
Indoors
Usually we serve dinner in the Salone Severini, our main dining-room, located inside the castle with entrance from the main Courtyard. This room has original frescoes and “stuccos” of the 17th century.
Outdoors
In case of good weather, you might prefer to have your dinner served in the main Courtyard, decorated and highlighted to create the perfect atmosphere. (only with exclusive use of the location)

DANCE PARTY
After dinner you can descend the stairs, romantically lit by candles, to the Limonaia, the beautiful candle-lit Lemon house where guests will move to have the party. This vaulted intimate space is the ideal location to turn your celebration into an amazing party.

Limonaia
The Limonaia is an authentic storage place where the lemon plants are stored during the winter. On your request we are pleased to lit this room for you with hundreds of candlelights, which will create the most romantic atmosphere.
Open lounge-bar
An open lounge-bar can be installed.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Castello di Montegufoni is suitable for a maximum of 140 guests for an overnight stay.
The castle is divided into 39 unique apartments and houses. Since the castle has been preserved with respect for its history, each apartment has one or more authentic eye-catchers, including beautiful frescoes and fireplaces. Because of this all apartments are very different in size and can accommodate from 2 up to 9 guests.
You can choose from 2 formulas to receive you and your guests.
A la carte
It is possible to rent just some specific locations in Castle Montegufoni like the Salone Severini and the Limonaia to have your wedding festivities.
In that case, guests will have to book their accommodation by themselves for at least 3 nights, in the apartments they personally selected based on availability.
Exclusive
As a second option you can also go for complete exclusivity.
In this case, you can rent the entire castle, which becomes the exclusive setting for you and your guests. Based on the room descriptions, you can assign the rooms to each of your guests. Of course you also have the exclusive use of the bar, the restaurant and all other parts of the Castle.
